Mayor Tadeo García Zalazar explained during the signing ceremony that the municipality’s Education and Employment departments were closely aligned with labor-market demand and were making spaces and tools available so residents could train in specific fields with strong employment prospects.
Underc0de is a Mendoza-based technology community that develops solutions and projects involving technology, robotics, application and video-game development, training, and digital literacy.
Members of the collaborative platform would have their own space in the former Seventh Police Station building, located at Lavalle and Colón streets across from the departmental square.
García Zalazar concluded that the agreement was a practical contribution toward building a high-quality model for what he viewed as the future of the province’s productive economy, noting that technology companies had continued growing and diversifying despite economic fluctuations.
